Forest Waves (Audiovisual Art Installation)

‘Forest Waves’ is a sound installation that aims to communicate the degradation of the Portugueseforest throughout the last decades, a unique ecosystem in a continuous state of decline and degradation due to human impact and the widespread of introduced species such as the eucalyptus.The installation uses two techniques to convey information: soundscapes and data sonification.

Lu Zia (Music Production and Live Performance)

Lu Zia is the alias of Porto-based multidisciplinary artist Luís Luzia. Through his songs, he explores the organicity of the natural world and the degradation of the digital, combining rustic textures with experimental production techniques, resulting from ambient compositions to distorted techno and atmospheric DnB.

During both my Master’s in Multimedia (Interactive Music and Sound Design Specialization) and Music Producer Course at Danceplanet, I developed my skills as a sound designer and composer.

Mosca que Ladra

Short documentary I directed, edited and composed the soundtrack for. Mosca que Ladra explores the artistic process of Carolina, an illustrator that imagines a world of hibrid creatures that move, talk and feel just the way we do.

Interactive Installations/Projects

During the years I’ve developed several projects that promote an interaction with the user. Through both audio and visual programming, and external devices such as cameras and sensors, I’ve created different workflows that aim to bridge the gap between the art piece and the spectator, resulting in an effective and novel way to think about the creative process.
